Who are the bears?
Diana H. Chu is an illustrator. She hails from Virginia, Hong Kong and St. Louis. Ben Grzenia is an avid outdoorsman who grew up in Southern Wisconsin. Diana and Ben launched BearBear in Milwaukee as a self-publishing Risograph studio in 2019. BearBear hand-crafts contemporary art books and indie publications, believing that artisan imperfection is a virtue.

Do you print for hire?
Yes. We accept a limited number of custom Risograph print orders a year. Learn about our ink color library, file and paper requirements, and more here. Then reach out for a quote.

Can I visit your shop?
Our production studio, where all the magic happens, is open by appointment only. Reach out to inquire about a visit. We'd love to host you!

How do I take a class?
We teach 2 classes: Riso Basics is our most popular course and we recommend taking that first. We also teach 1:1 private Risograph sessions. Email us to request a private class.
